Mark 6, 30-34

Jerusalem Bible: 30. The apostles rejoined Jesus and told him all they had done and taught. 31. And he said to them, 'Come away to some lonely place all by yourselves and rest for a while'; for there were so many coming and going that there was no time for them even to eat. 32. So they went off in the boat to a lonely place where they could be by themselves. 33. But people saw them going, and many recognised them; and from every town they all hurried to the place on foot and reached it before them. 34. So as he stepped ashore he saw a large crowd; and he took pity on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he set himself to teach them at some length.

Comment: Come Holy Spirit. If we imitate Jesus we must prioritize our issues and evangelism, compassion and charity towards others should come first, but sometimes we want to relax, we wan to do our affairs, Jesus withdrew to pray, but if he saw a need attending to, priority for him were the sheep. That the Lord Jesus have mercy on us and attend all our needs and give us the strength to carry out his purpose to bring the gospel throughout the world .

Mark 16, 14-29

Jerusalem Bible: 14. King Herod had heard about him, since by now his name was well known. Some were saying, 'John the Baptist has risen from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.' 15. Others said, 'He is Elijah,' others again, 'He is a prophet, like the prophets we used to have.' 16. But when Herod heard this he said, 'It is John whose head I cut off; he has risen from the dead.' 17. Now it was this same Herod who had sent to have John arrested, and had had him chained up in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife whom he had married. 18. For John had told Herod, 'It is against the law for you to have your brother's wife.' 19. As for Herodias, she was furious with him and wanted to kill him, but she was not able to do so, 20. because Herod was in awe of John, knowing him to be a good and upright man, and gave him his protection. When he had heard him speak he was greatly perplexed, and yet he liked to listen to him. 21. An opportunity came on Herod's birthday when he gave a banquet for the nobles of his court, for his army officers and for the leading figures in Galilee. 22. When the daughter of this same Herodias came in and danced, she delighted Herod and his guests; so the king said to the girl, 'Ask me anything you like and I will give it you.' 23. And he swore her an oath, 'I will give you anything you ask, even half my kingdom.' 24. She went out and said to her mother, 'What shall I ask for?' She replied, 'The head of John the Baptist.' 25. The girl at once rushed back to the king and made her request, 'I want you to give me John the Baptist's head, immediately, on a dish.' 26. The king was deeply distressed but, thinking of the oaths he had sworn and of his guests, he was reluctant to break his word to her. 27. At once the king sent one of the bodyguard with orders to bring John's head. 28. The man went off and beheaded him in the prison; then he brought the head on a dish and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother. 29. When John's disciples heard about this, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.

Comment: Holy Spirit, come please, welcome to this home, we wan to hear the voice of Jesus, give us understanding, wisdom. When John was buried its head and body were separated, many confuse Jesus with John the Baptist, in Catholic Church exists the mystical body of Christ, Jesus is the head and we the members, when Jesus raised his body was integral, says writing that was not broken any bone. John was a righteous and holy man, speaking in the name of God and gave their lives to defend the things of God. My desire is to be just and saint as John and give our lives to God.

Mark 6, 7-13

Jerusalem Bible:7. Then he summoned the Twelve and began to send them out in pairs, giving them authority over unclean spirits. 8. And he instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff -- no bread, no haversack, no coppers for their purses. 9. They were to wear sandals but, he added, 'Don't take a spare tunic.' 10. And he said to them, 'If you enter a house anywhere, stay there until you leave the district. 11. And if any place does not welcome you and people refuse to listen to you, as you walk away shake off the dust under your feet as evidence to them.' 12. So they set off to proclaim repentance; 13. and they cast out many devils, and anointed many sick people with oil and cured them.

Comment: Come Holy Spirit, Come Holy Spirit, Come Holy Spirit. Once again the Lord sends us to evangelize, to continue the great mission, the works that Jesus, the disciples began and then continued Paul. Help Holy Spirit to bring the gospel of Jesus with joy, to be faithful witnesses to expel the things you do not like to pray for the sick with your holiness to heal.

Mark 6, 1-6

Bible Jerusalem: 1. Leaving that district, he went to his home town, and his disciples accompanied him. 2. With the coming of the Sabbath he began teaching in the synagogue, and most of them were astonished when they heard him. They said, 'Where did the man get all this? What is this wisdom that has been granted him, and these miracles that are worked through him? 3. This is the carpenter, surely, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joset and Jude and Simon? His sisters, too, are they not here with us?' And they would not accept him. 4. And Jesus said to them, 'A prophet is despised only in his own country, among his own relations and in his own house'; 5. and he could work no miracle there, except that he cured a few sick people by laying his hands on them. 6. He was amazed at their lack of faith. He made a tour round the villages, teaching.

Comment: Come Holy Spirit, guide us, please. May God have mercy on us for our lack of faith and we can see the progress of our brothers, as they have grown and how God continues to transform their hearts. I hopefully  the word of God do no scandal  us and we can receive it with love and humility.

Matthew 5, 21-43

Bible Jerusalem: 21. When Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered round him and he stayed by the lake. 22. Then the president of the synagogue came up, named Jairus, and seeing him, fell at his feet 23. and begged him earnestly, saying, 'My little daughter is desperately sick. Do come and lay your hands on her that she may be saved and may live.' 24. Jesus went with him and a large crowd followed him; they were pressing all round him. 25. Now there was a woman who had suffered from a haemorrhage for twelve years; 26. after long and painful treatment under various doctors, she had spent all she had without being any the better for it; in fact, she was getting worse. 27. She had heard about Jesus, and she came up through the crowd and touched his cloak from behind, thinking,28. 'If I can just touch his clothes, I shall be saved.' 29. And at once the source of the bleeding dried up, and she felt in herself that she was cured of her complaint. 30. And at once aware of the power that had gone out from him, Jesus turned round in the crowd and said, 'Who touched my clothes?' 31. His disciples said to him, 'You see how the crowd is pressing round you; how can you ask, "Who touched me?" ' 32. But he continued to look all round to see who had done it. 33. Then the woman came forward, frightened and trembling because she knew what had happened to her, and she fell at his feet and told him the whole truth. 34. 'My daughter,' he said, 'your faith has restored you to health; go in peace and be free of your complaint.' 35. While he was still speaking some people arrived from the house of the president of the synagogue to say, 'Your daughter is dead; why put the Master to any further trouble?' 36. But Jesus overheard what they said and he said to the president of the synagogue, 'Do not be afraid; only have faith.' 37. And he allowed no one to go with him except Peter and James and John the brother of James. 38. So they came to the house of the president of the synagogue, and Jesus noticed all the commotion, with people weeping and wailing unrestrainedly. 39. He went in and said to them, 'Why all this commotion and crying? The child is not dead, but asleep.' 40. But they ridiculed him. So he turned them all out and, taking with him the child's father and mother and his own companions, he went into the place where the child lay. 41. And taking the child by the hand he said to her, 'Talitha kum!' which means, 'Little girl, I tell you to get up.' 42. The little girl got up at once and began to walk about, for she was twelve years old. At once they were overcome with astonishment, 43. and he gave them strict orders not to let anyone know about it, and told them to give her something to eat.

Comment: Come Holy Spirit. We can surprise God with our faith, that woman was healed by Jesus because she believed, get from God with faith and hope rid of our diseases, through the intercession of Jesus, Mary and the Holy Spirit. Jesus overcame let yourself get up in him, death will be resurrected, we'll be in paradise.

Luke 2, 22-40

Bible Jerusalem: 22. And when the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23. (as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord") 24. and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, "a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons." 25. Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27. And inspired by the Spirit he came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law, 28. he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, 29. "Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word; 30. for mine eyes have seen thy salvation 31. which thou hast prepared in the presence of all peoples, 32. a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to thy people Israel." 33. And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him; 34. and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, "Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against 35. (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed." 36. And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phan'u-el, of the tribe of Asher; she was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years from her virginity, 37. and as a widow till she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. 38. And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks to God, and spoke of him to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. 39. And when they had performed everything according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. 40. And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him.

Comment: Come Holy Spirit descends upon me, I want understand your word. Simeon met the savior of the world, Mary suffered the death of Jesus on the cross and held three days after his resurrection, Jesus resurrected today experience that can only be seen by those who have faith, those who like Simeon the Spirit reveals it. May God have mercy on us and allows us to recognize Jesus at all times. Jesus is alive his purpose on this earth was fully accomplished for us to have eternal life, the Holy Spirit reveal to us please what our purpose on this earth?

Mark 1,

Bible Jerusalem: 21. They went as far as Capernaum, and at once on the Sabbath he went into the synagogue and began to teach. 22. And his teaching made a deep impression on them because, unlike the scribes, he taught them with authority. 23. And at once in their synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he shouted, 24. 'What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God.' 25. But Jesus rebuked it saying, 'Be quiet! Come out of him!' 26. And the unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and with a loud cry went out of him. 27. The people were so astonished that they started asking one another what it all meant, saying, 'Here is a teaching that is new, and with authority behind it: he gives orders even to unclean spirits and they obey him.' 28. And his reputation at once spread everywhere, through all the surrounding Galilean countryside.

Comment: Holy Spirit, Paraclete, Comforter, helper, you are beautiful sir. When we reflect Jesus we rejects evil because his love, with Jesus can free ourselves from the demons: Disease, sins, infidelity, gossip, gluttony, in order the things that are not pleasing to God. God knows what is in our hearts, Satan the prince of this world also knows, we hear the voice of the Lord Jesus and let us not be seduced by the cunning of the devil. Experience the love of God to see His kingdom is not of this world, let us separate ourselves from sins and temptations of this world.
